Sounds like it would be, I haven't tried mods yet. I think I'll try the Game of Thrones mod once I've exhausted the vanilla game.

I'd recommend Diplomacy which overhauls the interaction in the base game and improves on managing an independent kingdom.

Will it work for a game you're already playing, or will you have to start a new?

MB Warband has a save games folder inside of your documents folder with mod folders and a native folder. All you have to do is copy your save from the native folder into the diplomacy folder and then launch the game with the mod enabled.

I adore Mount and Blade for what they are, low budget medieval games. All three of the current ones are very enjoyable and the mods are also great. For example the Star Wars mod for the original Mount and Blade is a massively enjoyable experience.

I sadly haven't gotten around to playing any of them in a few months, which I need to fix.

The Viking Conquest DLC for MB Warband is also extremely good given its price. It adds in all of the British Isles and some lands beyond, and it has naval warfare.

How does the Naval Warfare work though? Like, is it actually good?
